TWISTED TUTU SISTERS
Hear about the Tutu Sisters' adventures in the Bahamas
THE TWISTED TUTU SISTERS
I sat down with some of my favorite clients, the Twisted Tutu Sisters. Joyce Huey, Toni Marshall, Lolita Sergio and Jill Baker have been friends for years and have plenty of stories to tell about their adventures on the Carnival Liberty.
BEHIND THE TWISTED TUTU SISTERS
Leesburg, Fla. - The Twisted Tutu Sisters, made up by Joyce Huey, Toni Marshall, Lolita Sergio and Jill Baker, are a fun group of friends based out of Central Florida who have a passion for travel and adventures. The ladies even have a saying, “What happens with the Sisters stays with the Sisters.”
The Twisted Tutu Sisters have been friends for over 50 years and initially met each other in high school. Toni Stokes Marshall, longtime resident of Leesburg, currently manages a working artist’s studio and gallery called Uncommon on Sixth, while Joyce Huey owns and operates Two Old Hags Wine Shoppe located in Downtown Leesburg.
As longtime clients, the Tutu Sisters most recently came back from a 3-Night cruise on the Carnival Liberty to Nassau, where the group was able to explore the Bahamas and spend time with the locals in their downtime.
“We had so much fun,” Huey said. “It was a great ship, a great combination, and a very relaxing time.”
Aboard the Carnival Liberty, the Tutu Sisters enjoyed adjoining balconies that opened up, which allowed the rooms to be connected for the group to spend time together overlooking the open water and continue the fun even when they weren’t exploring the ship.
“We had absolutely amazing service on the ship itself,” Marshall said. “Everyone was so kind, and they met all of our needs. There was just enough activity going on that it seemed to reach all of us in our own way. We like to do different things…”
The Sisters also had a special dining experience on the ship: the Chef’s Table. This dining option includes dinner with the chef, where he walks everyone through the courses, and plenty of desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth.
For the group’s day in Nassau, they wanted to experience a side of the Bahamas that they had never seen before. Once they arrived, they spent the day at the Graycliff Hotel, a historical, colonial mansion with 20 guestrooms, several swimming pools and the Graycliff Restaurant for guests to enjoy. Graycliff is also known for its world renowned cigars, the Humidor Churrascaria, which serves Brazilian Rodizio with Bahamian influences in a steakhouse setting, and a chocolate factory. Across the street from the hotel, guests can also enjoy the National Art Gallery or a unique wine tasting experience.
The Twisted Tutu Sisters are not finished traveling for this year. The Third Annual Two Old Hags Wine Shoppe Cruise will be setting sail aboard Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas October 10-18, 2020 for a Canada and New England cruise. Guests will sail from Boston, Massachusetts to Portland, Maine, spend a day in Halifax, Nova Scotia and much more.
We've got lots of special activities planned for those in our group! For more information, contact me via email at amy.painter@cruiseplanners.com or send a message via the ‘Contact Me’ form.
